BBQ sweet and sour prawns
Sweet Chilli Sauce
Chinese Mixed Vegetables
Ingredients required for this recipe:
2 tblspn Trident Sweet Chilli Sauce
1 tblspn Fish Sauce
5 tspn caster sugar
2 tblspn rice or cider vinegar
1 tblspn cornflour
2 tblspn oil
20 green prawns, peeled and de-veined
1/2 red capsicum, diced
1 celery stick, diced
1 x 225g can pineapple pieces
1 can Chinese Mixed Vegetables, drained
In a bowl combine Trident Sweet Chilli Sauce, Fish Sauce, sugar, vinegar and cornflour with 1/2 cup water.
Heat oil in a wok and stir-fry prawns for 2 1/2 mins, until pink and firm. Remove to a plate.
Stir-fry diced vegetables for 1 1/2 mins.
Add the prepared sauce and simmer for 1 min.
Return prawns, add pineapple and Chinese Mixed Vegetables.
Simmer gently for 2-3 mins. Serve.
Note: Use any chinese stir-fry mixed vegetables where the canned variety is not available.
